In Person Proceedings:
If the hearing notice states that the hearing will be held at the OAH Hunt Valley building (11101 Gilroy Road), the Rockville building (40 West Gude Drive), or the Salisbury building (201 Baptist Street), the hearing will be held in person unless an Administrative Law Judge orders otherwise. OAH is using only the largest hearing rooms for in-person hearings. You may request that a case scheduled for an in-person hearing be converted to a remote hearing by following the instructions on this website.
Remote Proceedings: If your case has been scheduled for a remote hearing, it will be held by either WebEx or Google Meet. The specific platform and instructions for participating in a remote proceeding will be sent to you with your hearing/mediation notice. Please review your notice carefully for those instructions. More information on attending a remote hearing is available:
Requesting a Remote Proceeding: If your case has been scheduled for an in-person hearing, the parties may file a joint request for a remote hearing. Click here for instructions. In order to use this form, all parties must agree to the joint request to convert the hearing to a remote hearing.
A party may also file an individual request to convert all or a portion of the hearing to a remote proceeding by filing a written request with the OAH. In addition, the OAH may convert any hearing from an in-person hearing to a remote hearing on its own initiative. If this occurs, the OAH will timely notify the parties.
Alternatively, a party may request that a remote hearing be converted to an in-person proceeding by filing a written request with the OAH.
